Experiment planning brief
A practical format for defining a proposed change, audience, metric, review plan, and decision rule. This is an illustrative planning example, separate from the reported outcomes in my experience.
01 · Define the question
What will the team decide after the test?
Start with the intended customer behavior. Define an eligible audience, one proposed change, and the business decision the result will inform.
02 · Plan the measurement
Specify the primary metric, baseline, minimum worthwhile effect, sample size, and guardrails before launch. A day 14 checkpoint is a planning example. The calendar alone does not determine when a result is conclusive.

At Romin, I ran weekly creative tests. At NYUC, I planned an onboarding sequence. At Poké Inn, I used sales patterns to redesign product bundles. The common planning question is: which customer action should change, and how will we measure it?
